five pages about your experiences.
This i s that story which begins the four book epoch of Dani's coming of age and coming to terms with herself. She's seventy pounds overweight. Her only dance partner is her girlfriend, her only boyfriend is Tom Selleck whose poster is pinned to her bedroom ceiling, and her only merits come from the A's she gets for writing dishonest essays for her English teacher on the topic of transgenderism. Borrowing from Abraham Lincoln, Dani's is the story of a girl caught up in the dogmas of the stormy present only to find they are inadequate and will surely lead her to Nowheresville...if she doesn't act.
The story begins when Dani crashes her grocery cart into Marian's and suddenly she's facing an all grown up Little Red Riding Hood. All she has to do now is stay with her, keep asking questions, keep Marian talking, and listen.
